ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Secondary School Diploma or GED
  • Unemployed, underemployed or working p/t less than 20 hours per week
  • Age 18+

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

  1. Applications will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility.
  2. Applicants will be notified by telephone to participate in a personal interview.

INTERVIEWS & SELECTION

Applicants should bring to the interview:

  • A copy of a Secondary School Diploma or GED.
  • A current Resume.
  • A copy of any Safety Training Certification.
  • Any letters of reference from teachers or employers in a related field.
  • Contact information for 2 personal or employment references.
15 candidates will be selected from amongst the interviewed applicants to participate in Assessment Testing.

ASSESSMENT TESTING

  1. Testing will take place at Conestoga College, Stratford.
  2. Assessments will determine if any additional upgrading is necessary in Math or English to successfully complete the training.
  3. Candidates will sign Consent for Release of Personal Information forms giving permission to release test results to TTG.

FINAL SELECTION

12 candidates will be selected based on their personal interview and assessment results to enter the program.


Manufracturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program Details 
  • Location: Stratford Northwestern Secondary School, 428 Foreman Drive
  • Class size: Maximum of 12 trainees
  • In Class Training:
    • Monday–Wednesday 6:30 – 9:30pm
    • Thursdays 5:30-9:30pm
    • Every 2nd Saturday
  • Training Program: Skills Training + Trade Math + Blueprint Reading + Employment Prep
  • Work Placement: 8 Weeks
