Course Outline
Part-time Training: Two evenings per week: 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Hours of Instruction
      10 - Classroom
      50 - Shop (Practical Application)
      60 - Total

This 11-week course will expose trainees to most aspects of the plumbing trade and industry. Trainees will be taught various piping applications and methods of construction used in the plumbing trade.
  • Tool and site safety
  • Basic understanding of residential plumbing
  • Understanding of plumbing materials and fixtures
  • Hands on projects with copper, plastic and steel piping
  • Understanding methods used in the plumbing field
  • Installation of common household plumbing fixtures
  • Understanding of basic plumbing trade math calculations
  • Introduction to energy and water saving fixtures

The Technical Training Group has safety as its first priority. The first consideration of any task will be to ensure safe practices and conditions. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be in good condition and worn at all times in identified areas.
