Carpentry Instructor: Mark Flanagan
Mark received his carpentry license in 1985 and worked as a carpenter for 15 years. His apprenticeship was under Pounder Brothers in Stratford where he learned all aspects of construction from the ground to the roof. Mark worked 10 years as a construction supervisor where he coordinated the work of up to 50 employees and sub-contractors in the renovation and building of homes, restaurants, and offices in downtown Toronto. Mark is a graduate of Conestoga College’s Carpentry Program. He received his Ontario Teaching Certificate from the Faculty of Education at the University of Toronto in 1996. Since then, Mark has been a teacher with the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board. He currently is Department Head of Technology at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School a position he has held since 2001. Mark offers a wealth of carpentry knowledge, teaching and practical application expertise. He is TTG’s on-site supervisor for the basic electrical and plumbing programs.
Electrical Instructor: Keith Donnelly
Kieth is a qualified electrician with over 14 years of industry experience. He also holds an Ontario Teaching Certificate. A TTG instructor since 2008, Keith has a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial applications experience in the trade. Keith is an Electrical instructor in the Electrical Technician Program, School of Trades & Apprenticeship at Conestoga College, Doon Campus, Kitchener. Prior to this, he was a technical teacher at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School, Stratford.
Plumbing Instructor: Kirk Scammell
Kirk is a certified plumber and gas fitter. Kirk has 15 years experience in the trade covering residential, commercial, industrial as well as process water, compressed air and natural gas. Kirk worked at Turner Plumbing for 14 years from 1997-2011. In December 2011, Kirk was hired as Building Environmental Systems (BES) Chief for Stratford Northwestern Secondary School, Stratford. He oversees and monitors all aspects of facility performance related to energy, safety, and environment pertaining to building envelope and systems. Kirk has been a TTG instructor since 2010.
